How do I access the members’ pages?

Click on ‘section membres’ in the green band at the top of the page. If you haven’t yet got a password, or don’t remember it, read the article Get a password for the members section.

Why is my account blocked?

Have you paid your annual subscription? See the page for annual subscriptions. Or have you tried several times to log in with an incorrect password? If so, wait 24 hours then ask for a new password if necessary, or contact   if it is really urgent. Check also that you really use your own member number!

In which format should I send my photos of cols?

I HAVE CLICKED ON THE BUTTON ‘GÉNÉRER ET TÉLÉCHARGER LE FICHIER DE SORTIE’ IN CCWAY, AND NOTHING HAPPENS.

If you have not modified the settings of your browser, the file will save automatically in your computer’s downloads folder. Open this folder and you will find one or, if you have clicked the button more than once, several files with a name beginning ccWay_nom membre_date…

CCWAY DOESN’T GIVE ME ANY COLS IN THE POLYGON I DREW ON THE MAP EVEN THOUGH I AM SURE THERE ARE SOME IN THAT REGION. WHY?

Two omissions can lead to this. The first is that you have only selected one type of col (eg. road cols), while all the cols in the polygon are of another type (eg. off-road cols). Another thing that can be forgotten sometimes : if you choose one country, then extend your polygon into another, no cols will be shown in the second. For example, if you start by choosing France, then draw a polygon across the border into Switzerland, no cols will be shown there, because there aren’t any French cols in Switzerland! If this seems a bit restrictive, remember that the following menus are country-specific, ie. regions and départements in France, and cantons in Switzerland.

I CAN’T OPEN THE FILES FROM CCWAY. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The ccWay tool lets you download lists of cols in either KML of GPX formats (or CE3 for France). These files won’t be usable unless you have the software on your computer that can read them. Which program to choose is a personal matter. And how to install it is each ones affair. For more information, see the  guide ccWay.

I don’t see my new cols in Google Earth when I bring them from ccWay. Why is this?

When you open a ccWay file in Google Earth, at the same time that programme opens everything that is registered in ‘favorite places’. So, if you have an old file of cols in your ‘favorite places’, that will always be displayed. This may give the impression that the new file is not up to date, when it is in fact an old file that is still there in Google Earth. This is the first thing to check.

If this doesn’t solve the problem, it is advisable to check which cols are in fact registered in your personal list, and , as necessary, to complete this list using registered cols.

I’VE DOWNLOADED A CATALOGUE OF COLS IN EXCEL FORMAT. WHEN I CLICK ON A LINK FROM THIS FILE, NOTHING HAPPENS. WHY?

This can happen depending on the versions and updates that you have on your computer. There is no solution that applies to all cases.  For this reason, we have created a Cela peut arriver selon les versions et réglages existants sur votre ordinateur. I’VE CHANGED MY EMAIL ADDRESS IN MY MEMBER FILE, BUT I AM STILL GETTING DISCUSSION LIST MESSAGES AT MY OLD ADDRESS

The address for the Discussion List cent_cols (liste Yahoo) is not directly linked to the address registered with the Club. There is no reason why the two addresses can’t be different. To change your address for the Discussion List, the easiest way is to terminate your subscription to the Discussion List, then re-subscribe with the new address. This is explained on the liste de discussion page. If there is still a problem, the contact address for the Discussion List officers on that page as well.
