Women, their cycling, their interest

Like everyone, of both sexes naturally, we have all cycled.

With the growth of cycling, and depending on the time we have available, perhaps we have been drawn to riding alone, or with a family, or a club, in competition or purely for pleasure.

The current boom in electric bikes has seen many more women riding, both on and off-road, but without perhaps, belonging to a cycling club.

I think this is a very good initiative on their part that, with or without electric assistance, widens the reach of an activity beneficial in the fields of sport, health, personal transport, tourism and culture.

But there is much work to do to persuade these women to ride together.

This is a big field, so I will follow up this introduction with articles on specific subjects.
